The World Is Still a Troubled Place

“For thus has the Lord said to me: "Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees." (Isaiah 21:6)

No matter the denomination or belief, a church, a temple or just a school building, the attacks against people of faith continues as this old year comes to a close and a new one begins.  The attacks against ministers, pastors, Rabbi’s and priests is just one sign of the evil that is in the world today.  Some may be just angry at the world and all who are in it, some may have mental illness, some even need to steal what others have to take for one self, it’s still bad, and wrong.

The lack of a Safety and Security Plan with Risk Management surveys or reviews, Teams in place to implement the Plan, deter, detect, and respond to an emergency is still needed.  The Plan needs to be practiced, the Teams equipped and the training must continue and improve if you are to be ready for whatever may come, weather, medical, fire or maybe something even worse.

There are professionals who are willing and able to help, from doing the Risk Assessment or Loss Prevention Survey, to helping design a Plan after reviewing the risks and setting your goal.  But all of this needs to be done before there is a need, and this is why you need to get and be ready.

The Bible shares that we should be Good Stewards of what He, our Master, provides us, and this includes the tithes, offerings, gifts and those guided to the ministry and entrusted to you.

It also calls for a Good Shepherd, and the pastor, minister, Rabbi or priest is in that role, with the job of keeping their flock safe and secure, as the shepherd did with their flock in the fields.

For all of this to be done, then God’s people must wake up to the need to be ready and to be as the watchmen on the wall, shepherds in the fields, there for protection of those who are within.

Be safe!
